| Tuscany Trail

A region, Tuscany, whose only name is one of the most famous brands in the world.
A succession of beautiful and unique landscapes. Medieval centres interspersed with a stunning nature shaped by man. Lines of cypresses, country houses, medieval villages, streets carved into the tuff, marble quarries, the Maremma geometries drawn between sand bars and dunes, crystal-clear sea that refreshes sunny islands. This picture is completed by the unparalleled food and wine excellence offered by this region. Last but not least, the hospitality of the Tuscan people is noteworthy.

All that in a 600 km ride on your bike, from North to South, self-sufficient as true adventurers of the 21st century. Same route for everyone, uploaded on the GPS, to be covered at one’s own pace, without time limit, because adventure is a right that must be within everybody's reach.

The first and original “unsupported bicycle adventure”. To date, it is the event in the world having the largest number of participants: 600.
This route prefers the famous white Tuscan roads but it also offers secondary paths away from traffic. Many words could be used to describe this event but without being exhaustive. The Tuscany Trail allows to see 35 different nations together, and you can browse among the many varieties of bicycles chosen by participants, ranging from 29" to gravel bike. Perhaps, the best definition of the Tuscany Trail is the word "party", a real sports and adventure party.

2018 will see a renewed route. The departure will be from Piazza Mercurio at Massa while the arrival will remain Capalbio where you will be welcomed by the welcome of Capalbio sports club.
The Apuan Alps will be replaced by Lucca and its walls, in Fucecchio, one of the most important wetlands in Italy and, in particular, Vinci, birthplace of the famous Leonardo da Vinci. After the old town centre in Florence, you will be immersed in the Chianti forest roads where woods and vineyards alternate. For the fifth edition of the Tuscany Trail, Pienza, a real terrace on the Val d'Orcia, is back. The new "Cima Coppi" will be Radicofani, with its 775 metres asl, which can be reached by following  the Orcia river and then climbing up from a shady dirt road.

All that and much more will be at the Tuscany Trail 2018 edition. We’ll wait for you on June 2, 2018.
